Why Journey Groups?
Journey Groups are a defining part of Harbor of Hope. We believe that we were designed by God to experience life change in the context of meaningful relationships. Our relationships with each other are the foundation of the authentic community we want here at Harbor. Journey Groups are groups of 8-12 people who meet together regularly (usually once a week) to help us build those relationships.
What do Journey Groups Do?
Journey Groups meet together every week to seek God together. We read the Bible and learn about Jesus, we share what is going on in our lives and our faith, and we pray for each other. As we do this, spiritual transformation takes place.
This is what we believe discipleship means: helping one another to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and join the mission of Jesus.
What Kinds of Groups Are There?
We invite everyone to be a part of a Harbor Journey Group! We have a variety of groups that meet online and in person, in the mornings and evenings, during the week and on the weekends.
You can check out our Journey Group options here, and find one that works for you! There is a link to email the leader of the group, so you can find out more!
If you have more questions or need help finding the right group for you, email our Journey Group Director Sheree Norquist at groups@harborofhope.org.
